Wong Kee Fast Food

A very small, hole in the wall type of place selling Malay/ Chinese/ HK food. I came here for lunch on a Thursday and it was very busy with office workers. The shop seemed to have many regulars. I had the chicken and prawn laksa for $17, price wise it’s similar to other lunch places in the city. The laksa wasn’t mind-blowing but definitely delicious. The staff were very warm and friendly and welcoming. Overall it’s a solid option for lunch in the city when you feel like comfort Asian food.

The food and serving size are really good for the price. Service is nice as well. I was in Sydney during a vacation and was looking for some really good Chinese food. I'm glad I found this place. Highly recommended.

Little shop with good value for money asian meal options. Tried the fried vermicelli with 2 dish option for 14AUD and the combination laksa for 13.50AUD. As an asian who had eaten laksa since young, can say it is fairly good. More importantly the staff are pretty friendly overall.

I came for 2 choices for 13aud. Its not only great value but delicious too. You can look inside kitchen and its look so clean. On top of that, the staff are very friendly, the grandma was so helpful too.

I have been coming to Won Kee Chinese on and off for the last 13 years, when Ive been lucky enough to work down this end of the CBD. I am so happy that they still exist after Covid lockdowns. The staff are so friendly and the food is delicious. Large selection of bain-marie stirfries and curries. Prices cannot be beaten! 2 choices with fried rice (sml) only $9 and huge portion sizes. Im yet to try the made to order menu but a King Prawn Laksa for $12 will be my next lunch choice. Came back to the office with a full tummy after a very satisying and delicious lunch. Access up the escalators from Pitt Street or street level off Castlereagh Street in the Chambers Arcade.

Absolutely goated place. For only $13 you can pick 2 choices of protein along with a fried rice. The old ladies working here are really nice and it feels like you suddenly got a Chinese grandma who always cooks for you whenever you visit her. This is the kind of place you go every single day to grab a quick lunch. The foods are all prepped and displayed like Panda Express in the States, so there’s no wait time. They just scoop up whatever you want on your plate. Bear in mind this place does close at 3pm, so I’d recommend going at lunch to grab a bite and get another meal for take out so you can have it for dinner. You have to go up the escalator of the building. The shop’s not outside the building.

Tasty food and very nice staff, highly recommend if you wanna try some original asian cuisine easy and quick!
